Where we started
Sitting in the Medows in Edinburgh. After a rough season and new coaches taking over we decided to take things into our own hands. It became our mission to create a team that has the perfect balance of work and play. FOR THE PLAYERS - BY THE PLAYERS.
Three determined players wanting to make a difference, that's our origin story and the rest is our history, present and future. It truly has been a test of patience, strength and occasionally friendships, but we made it through the otherside with something to be proud of. #DMWFC - MON THE HALL!
The Three WHO HAD A DREAM

Why did I want to be part of creating Danderhall Miners Women's Football Club?
I want to be part of a club that values the players happiness above results and success. Creating a club for talented women to enjoy playing football with no pressure is rare to find in this league, which is the whole ethos of DMWFC! I have met my people for life through football and I know the importance this has, not just for players, but for the community and younger generations too. Being involved with DMWFC has made me realise this is bigger than us, and that's the most rewarding thing about it

Why did I want to be a part of creating Danderhall Miners Women’s Football Club?
I wanted to help build a team FOR the players, BY the players. At this level of football, I sometimes feel that winning is the only important part of the game, while we all want to win, I would just like to see some happiness and enjoyment brought back. Remember when you would be buzzing to go out at lunch with your mates and play football? Or at the weekend in a scabby field somewhere with your jumpers as goal posts? I want to bring that feeling back for a bunch of us who just want to play football with fairness and with no egos involved
